Biographical history
Narozen 1942 v Humpolci, od roku 1963 pracoval jako nezávislý fotograf. V 60. letech fotografoval pro časopisy Výtvarná práce a Výtvarné umění, současně byl členem Svazu českých výtvarných umělců (SČVU). Koncem 60. let začal spolupracovat s rockovými skupinami The Plastic People of the Universe a The Primitives Group. Po roce 1989 začal Ságl spolupracovat na zakázkách pro časopisy jako National Geographic, Geo, Smithsonian, Gault Millau, Zeit Magazin či The New York Times. V roce 1989 se stal rovněž spoluzakladatelem Pražského domu fotografie (Prague House of Photography, PHP).
