Narozen 1956 v Děčíně, Slauka byl členem Oboru video, který založil Radek Pilař. V 90. letech se mimo jiné věnoval experimentům s počítačovou animací, kterou tvořil sám nebo v spolupráci s Věrou Geislerovou. V průběhu let působil na různých pozicích v oblasti televizní tvorby a produkce, v současnosti působí rovněž jako pedagog na Filmové a televizní fakultě Akademie múzických umění v Praze (obor počítačová grafika).
